Yes we do have unemployment we have training and apprentiship schemes to try and tackle that.
We have Prisons and crime but no where near the same extent as the USA; and we have better rehab, trianing and education programs in them.
As for acceptlible for the British as long as you work and have a needed job you are allowed in, i've got no problem with that.

We are poverty stricken though, as you can see from the poor state of the clothes I can buy for her. As everyone knows is perfectly legal in the south where a 'good' family tree is pretty much a straight line, I'd be burned at the stake. There are a couple I can think of who would defend poor little me, but not many.

And how would you know that the UK rehab, etc is better? You do realize that the population is near 304 million as of 2008, do you not? What's the UK population, 60 million?

It doesn't nor does their Ideology America, Russia, China or anyone will try to do with them and ally with them, Take African Dictators from the 60s onwards played states of against each other to get money and what ever ideaological rethoric they spouted they were all and are dictators.
